THE VAV device has honeycomb pattern airflow straightner at the intake which enables the airflow tobecome laminar or atleast uniform. The purpose of honeycomb airflow straightner is to convert the minimumstraight length requirement ie 2D ( diagonal) to 0.2D. The pitot tubes are place at a minimum distance of0.2D from honeycomb to increase performance. This is followed for aluminium extruded VCD for modulationof air.HONEYCOMB
